A Little About Me

My name is Jazmia Elan Battle. I was born on February 7, 1990 to Angela Holloway in Decatur, Ga. I attended Clara Mohammed School, Winona Park, and Renfroe middle school. I graduated from North Atlanta high School with a degree in Performing Arts. During my tenure at North Atlanta I won Miss Performing Arts, Miss Black and Silver, Best dancer, Captain of the Silver Stars, Most Talented, and was nominated for Most Attractive. I was accepted into the GA Governor's Honors Program for dance. Upon graduating from North Atlanta I was accepted into Hampton University for journalism. I decided to pursue my dancing, acting, and modeling career instead. That path would eventually lead me to dance for the likes of Beyonce on Oprah's Surprise Spectacular and The Billboard awards where she was honored as Woman of the Millenium, Disney, Debbie Allen, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Alexis Jordan. My theatre credits include Debbie Allen's Brothers of the Knight as a sister, Kenny Leon's Black Nativity as the birth angel, disneyland Resort Paris as a spacetrooper, Joseph Jones Funeral home where anything can go wrong as Kendall Michelle, Cheesecake Boiz and the Diva, and Dames Aflame Burlesque Company. My film credits include Big Momma's House 3 as diva #1 alongside Martin Lawrence, A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song, and Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls. Im currently enrolled in Georgia State University Perimeter College as a journalism major. My future plans are to write for a popular culture magazine such as The Fader, Nylon Magazine, or Vogue. Id like to be considered the African-American Carrie Bradshaw with possibly having my own column in a major publication. I also plan to continue my journey in acting and theatre with my dream of hopefully being on Broadway.
