Honeydew

Happy August mermaids! The name of the year is " Honey". May the rest of your summer and year be full of all things sweet. I mentioned at the end of 2018 that in the new year were falling in love, and it doesnt have to be with a man or woman. Were just falling in love. Ive been falling in love with my sensuality and prioritizing self care. My spiritual name is Osunyemi which means " being a  daughter of Oshun completes me". This year Ive been engaging in activities and rituals that help me express what it means to be a woman engaged in all of the things that make her feel beautiful. Ive also been falling even more in love with being black and what that means for me and my community. My whole life is a shining beacon of what you can become when you place black children in environments where the women have taken it upon themselves to pour love, compassion, understanding, and wisdom upon the youth. Its my responsibility to set an example for younger women seeking to leave their indelible mark on the world, and I hope I'm doing a good job. I hope the rest of the summer doesnt disappoint. Ase.
