"Kama Sutra : A Tale of Love" is an enthralling movie about love, lust, betrayal, and coming of age. Its set in India and is centered around the customs of their culture. What I loved most about the movie was how the women were taught from a very young age to be sensual beings. Kama Sutra means " setting forth rules for sensuous and sensual pleasures, love, and marriage in accordance with Hindu law." The Indian women in the community approached these topics with such candor and sincerity that the younger generations don't have to go through life struggling to balance their feminine energies beside a man. By the time they become of age to partake in sex and love this role is second nature to them. Its been imbedded in them since puberty. I found it to be quite admirable. Some women don't know how to honor their feelings and tap into their feminine energy. Every culture isn't taught that love isn't a straight line, and its still important to be a lady when that line gets squiggly. I loved how the younger women were taught to embrace being women. From the bellydancing, classes on sex positions, lectures on men, piercings, henna tattoos, exotic fabrics and scents, and their elaborate hairstyles, everything centered around the divine feminine. They have a very colorful existence, and it looked so fun in the movie. I understand if youre more of a plain Jane because that's just who you are, but women who are just to cool for some lipgloss and faux eyelashes every now and again baffle me. Youre a woman and should celebrate that fact as much as possible. Just because you prefer sweatpants and sneakers doesn't mean youre denying who you are if you beat your face every now and again. Its all put here for you to enjoy. Put those fuckin heels on and work it girl. =)
