I like art type gworls!

  Since the beginning of time art has been known to cloud the senses, inspire the impossible, and free the mind. I believe it is my destiny to inspire the masses to become whomever they choose through my art. I began my journey of inspiring people through an artistic medium at the tender age of five. I began dancing at a local dance school, and the art of performance quickly became tantamount to my existence like breathing air. I later began acting,modeling, and writing. If it were not for my art I wouldn’t be living the life of my passion, but merely existing through day to day jobs. Living a life of passion, love, light, joy, friendship, and beauty is what I believe I have been placed on this earth to inspire people to do .I was accepted into Hampton University for Journalism upon graduating from high school, but decided instead to pursue my other artistic blessings instead. I would then go on to dance for people like Beyonce, Debbie Allen, Disney, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. My talents also led me to act for the likes of Kenny Leon, Tyler Perry, and Martin Lawrence. My message to the world has been to live a life of inspiration through art like the great Friedrich stated many years ago. I have many more artistic dreams to make come true. To graduate from Georgia State University with an associates degree in journalism then finding a job that allows me to fulfill my passion for writing is one of them. My strength as a writer is that Im able to eloquently paint a picture of my topic with my words. My weakness is that im not always grammatically correct. It doesn’t matter where the waves of life’s ocean decides to take me, fulfilling my destiny of living and inspiring through a life of art will always be my shore to dock my ship.

I wrote this essay in 2016, as an assignment in my English Literature class that asked us to write an essay answering why Im here. Im very impressed with this essay, and I feel this way to this day. My goal was to graduate, and I graduated last May with an Assosciates of Arts degree in Journalism. I do have a job as a writer now, but Im not ready to reveal for what publication. As a daughter of Oshun imspiring people through an artistic medium is a part of my destiny, and i need art like i need Osun's waters. This essay is a perfect example of writing as a form of manifestation, Ase for making dreams come true! Maferefun Osun for the gift of artistic expression.
