The Throne
I listened to this song as the clock stroked twelve on New Year's and my birthday because it is the very energy and belief in self that I want to manifest going forward. Ive been trying to find a good time to post it on my blog, but I came to the conclusion that anytime is good. This is the attitude Black people need to have in the midst of the tension were experiencing in today's climate. WE DESERVE IT ALL! We deserve the generational wealth. We deserve reparations. We deserve a sound mind, clean heart, and healthy body. We deserve the healthy marriages and relationships with our spouses and children. We deserve wealth, abundance, prosperity, good fortune, and good luck. We deserve good karma. We deserve emotional stability. We deserve tranquility, serenity, and peace. We deserve the first-class flights, trips to the Islands, and the fancy, decked out cars and homes. We deserve the education, degress, and affluent jobs. WE DESERVE IT ALL!
Slavery stripped the black woman and man of nearly every right and identity we had when we came to this foreign land. In order to reclaim just how majestic that African identity truly is we have to start by repairing our self-esteem. We begin that work by reclaiming our belief to the rights of everything they stole from us. The African people are an abundant, prosperous and wealthy people. The African people extol the values of family, motherhood, fatherhood, and our blood unit. The African people are an intelligent, educated, and mind elevated people. The African people are ostentatious with their blessings through fashion, art, culture, and their way of being. The African people are a spiritually and religiously rich people that believes in their ancestors, orishas, and Allah. We need self-esteem. We have to know we deserve it all and go out and show the demonstration of that belief with our actions. But first we must do it with our minds. The African people come from Kings, Queens, and royalty. WE DESERVE IT ALL!!!
Big love to Kendrick <3
