The Girl With The Tattoo

 One of my most favorite hobbies in the world is getting tattoos and decorating my body with art. I have posted all of my tattoos above and I'm going to explain what they all mean below: 

1. The first picture is of my peacock feather that I got done in winter of 2014 by the legendary Mreeuh Chang. The peacock feather is an emblem of Osun as I am a daughter of Osun. The Arabic says Al Malikat Huna which means the Queen is here.

2. The second tattoo was done on Friday the 13th in May of 2016 by Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang's, Tuki Carter. The number 13 is the number of the divine feminine and the moon and menstrual cycles. There are 13 moon cycles in a year. The Africa is for my pride in being black.

3. The third tattoo was started in October 2020 and finished in January 2021 by Corey Davis who was featured on InkMaster and in Complex Magazine. In 2010 a friend of mine wrote me a love letter comparing me to the Goddesses Venus and Aphrodite who are the European manifestations of Osun. Mermaids are a symbol of all of these Goddesses. Osun sometimes manifest as a mermaid and I am a daughter of Osun as I've mentioned.

4.  The fourth and fifth tattoo pictures are of the song titled " Truth, Beauty, Freedom, Love" from the musical Moulin Rouge. The Moulin Rouge is set in Paris during the Bohemian Revolution a time where burgeoning artists, creatives, mystics, and vagabonds were finding their voices. Truth, Beauty, Freedom, Love were the ideals upheld by the Children Of The Revolution and I always want my life to reflect these values . This tattoo was done by Case who is totally dope.

5. The fifth and sixth tattoo pictures are of the Arabic word Salaam which means peace. Obatala is the orisha of peace, harmony and tranquility and he is my father orisha. I got a tattoo of the Arabic word peace to show gratitude for everything he has done for me. This tattoo was also done by Case.
