Geisha Girl Goals

This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie " Memoirs Of A Geisha". I love watching the process of her getting ready to take a step on her journey of becoming a Geisha. I am inspired by women of all cultures and the different ways women choose to embody the divine feminine based on their backgrounds and historical, cultural practices. What I love most about this scene is when she instructs her to focus on her artistic endeavors, the art of conversation, and generally on how she can make herself more desirable. She tells her that the quickest way to attract her Dainna is on her feet, not off them. She instructs her that Geishas are not courtesans and common prostitutes. The very word Geisha means " artist". They sell their art, not their body. It amazes me how it doesnt matter what the nationality or race is, the lesson that getting a man to see you as valuable has little to do with the act of sex itself. In this movie, the Geishas are encouraged to focus on how they can make themselves better people thus leading them to become better women and lovers. The Geishas are encouraged to work on their presentation to the world which naturally leads them to attract better, wealthier men. I am inspired by divine feminine energy of all women from different backgrounds. I feel like they all have something other women can take from them. Memoirs Of A Geisha is one of my favorite scenes.
